Beginning Sept 8, 2004 until mid-June, 2005 we served as interim worship leaders at Cornerstone International Church in the influential city of Brussels, Belgium - home of NATO, the headquarters of the European Union and 300,000 foreigners, most of whom speak English as a first or second language. Cornerstone Church is reaching a post-modern generation of young families with the love of Christ using contemporary worship and practical teaching. The congregation of about 150 includes more than 20 different nationalities. In addition to our music and worship responsibilities we also helped to upgrade the church's sound system, update the nursery facitilies, and implemented a children's worship service, known as KidzPraize, for more than 50 kids ages 3-12. To read our most recent newsletter and to learn what we have been doing since Belgium, please click here (You'll need Adobe Acrobat's free viewer or equivalent to view the .pdf file) Our children, Alaska (age 8), Simon (6) and Skye (2) are growing fast and keeping us alternately laughing and falling to our knees in prayer.
In past years, we raised funds for:
- Selimbar Girls Home, Sibiu, Romania; to finish construction of the building that provides a haven for girls who have grown up in the orphanage system.
- Camp of the Peaks in France for tools, and other needed items
- Cornerstone International Church in Brussels, Belgium for some sound equipment
- Missionaries at Camp of the Peaks in France for clothing and personal items lost in a fire at their home
